In 1998, our family had to face the reality of this heavy disease. My junior brother was diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately, he could not be saved. As I was talking to doctors and parents of children with cancer, I came to the conclusion that something needs to be done for such children in our city.
We decided that we, parents and relatives of those children, have to unite to find solutions for everyday problems – like searching for sponsors who would acquire expensive medication or hi-tech medical equipment.

It is so important to be aware that you can do something for someone who needs your help at that moment. Children are helpless in their illness, parents are at a loss. The need for a parental organization is proven by 30 years of international experience. Our country and our city are no exception. In December 1999 I came to work in the organization. In those years, the society’s attitude to childhood cancer has changed a lot. It is pleasant to think that there is our merit in it. I wish all children perfect health!
